- Early-Bird Registration Now Open for Full-Day Educational and Networking Event
Raleigh, N.C. – The North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) is pleased to announce its lineup for the Public Relations & Marketing Seminar 2008, to be held Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, N.C. This year’s program will touch on such timely topics as shrinking newsrooms, viral and social marketing, cause-related marketing, international public relations, crisis management and integrated communications.
In addition to selecting from 10 concurrent educational sessions, attendees will also hear a keynote address from sales, marketing and PR veteran Marty Clarke, author of the book “Communication Land Mines: 18 Communication Catastrophes and How to Avoid Them.” For more information on Clarke, visit www.martyclarke.com.
Attendees will hear from top executives and industry experts from leading organizations such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Capstrat, Fleishman-Hillard, The Catevo Group, French/West/Vaughn, Genworth Financial, Nortel, Thomasville Furniture, Campbell University, The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
This well-regarded, one-day event hosted by NCPRSA and co-sponsored by 18 other associations draws public relations, marketing and advertising professionals from throughout the Southeast. In addition to PRSA chapters from Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, additional co-sponsors include the Advertising Club of the Triangle, American Marketing Association Triangle, Association Executives of North Carolina, International Association of Business Communicators Triangle and Raleigh Public Relations Society.
Through Oct. 12, registrants can take advantage of special early-bird rates of $240 for members of participating organizations, $295 for non-members and $115 for students. This fee includes registration, a networking breakfast, lunch, breaks and access to on-demand Webcasts of all sessions from December through June 2009. Respective rates of $285, $355 and $115 will apply from Oct. 13 through Nov. 12; and final-week fees will rise to $305, $385 and $150.
A special Webcast-only rate is available for those unable to attend the seminar, but who still wish to see the presentations on demand. Early-bird rates range from $205 for members, $250 for non-members and $75 for students.
